Paul Vander Woude
Mr. Vander Woude received his bachelor of arts degree from Calvin College in 1973, and his juris doctor degree with high honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he was an Associate Justice of the Moot Court Honor Society. Mr. Vander Woude joined the firm in 1976, and became a Partner in 1981. He advised clients on a wide range of business and tax matters, including the organization, capitalization and operation of business and investment entities; complex business and investment transactions, such as acquisitions, sales, business combinations, re-capitalizations and financings; the formation of investment funds; commercial real estate transactions and related environmental matters, and business negotiations. Mr. Vander Woude also advised clients in connection with income tax planning and compliance with respect to these transactions.
Mr. Vander Woude served on the boards of a number of charitable organizations, including as a founding director of LATH, a charitable organization providing transitional housing for homeless families. He no longer actively practices with the firm, but is available to consult with us as he is of counsel to the firm.
